Press Release – Flag hoisting ceremony on 77 th Independence Day of India

High Commission of India marked the celebration of 77th Independence Day of India with a flag hoisting ceremony at Palais des Sports Indoor Stadium, Roche Caiman Sports Complex on 15th August 2023 in the presence of High Commission officials and members of the Indian diaspora.

2. High Commissioner Mr. Kartik Pande hoisted the national flag and delivered his address wherein he spoke about India's achievements since Independence. Highlighting national achievements in the fields of IT, pharmaceuticals and space, he also spoke of India's renewed focus on self-reliance 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' while simultaneously occupying a substantive role at the international fora.

3. High Commissioner concluded his address by underscoring the growing bilateral cooperation between India and Seychelles and also emphasised on the role of Indian diaspora on strenghtening India-Seychelles relationship.
