Hybrid Conference on pharmaceutical export.

1. The High Commission organised a hybrid conference on 14th December, 2023 to promote pharmaceutical exports from India.

2. Representatives from leading pharmacies, private clinics/health centers as well as the public hospitals of Seychelles attended the event. From India, the event was joined virtually by Pharmexcil, along with more than 100 sellers of pharmaceutical products from India.

3. Welcoming the participants from both sides, High Commissioner spoke about India’s leadership in manufacturing quality pharmaceutical products, the affordability of Made in India pharmaceuticals as well as the potential for further export of pharmaceuticals from India and the benefits that will accrue to Seychelles. Mr Uday Bhaskar, DG Pharmexcil also addressed those in attendance focusing on strict regulatory framework in India assuring quality and the assistance Pharmexcil can extend to the buyers.

4. Pharmexcil gave a presentation detailing procedures and best practices to be followed during medicine procurement process followed by a Q&A session. The buyers and sellers on both sides got the opportunity to interact and network.

5. Lines of communications were opened between Pharmexcil/Indian Entrepreneurs and the procurers from Seychelles. Clarity on procurement procedures and quality compliance in India was also appreciated by the participants from the Seychelles side.
