High Commission of India celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga (IDY) at Palais des Sports Indoor Stadium, Roche Caiman Sports Complex on Saturday, 22nd June, 2024. The celebrations this year were held under the theme “Yoga for Self and Society” .

2. Addressing those gathered on the occasion, High Commissioner of India, Mr Kartik Pande spoke about the benefits of yoga for overall health and well-being. He also highlighted the growing popularity of yoga in Seychelles.

3. This was followed by a 45-minute session called the Common Yoga Protocol led by yoga instructors Ms. Josette Ruiz, Mr. Steve Thelermont and Ms. Minaxi Tank from the Vivekanada Yoga Club of the High Commission and Yoga Association of Seychelles.

4. The event was attended by about 400 yoga enthusiasts, from all age groups.
