DELEGATION FROM NATIONAL HYDROGRAPHIC OFFICE OF INDIA VISITS SEYCHELLES
A delegation from the National Hydrographic Office of India led by Commodore Vishal Sharma is on an official visit from 28 to 29 November 2024 in Victoria to further cooperation in the field of Hydrography between India and Seychelles. Commodore Sharma is accompanied by Captain Amit Pant and the Defence Advisor Captain V Shirdikant on this visit.
2. The delegation, along with High Commissioner Shri Kartik Pande, called on the Minister of Transport of Republic of Seychelles H.E Mr Antony Derjacques on 29 November 2024. In the presence of the Minister, the delegation also had a discussion on further cooperation in the field of Hydrography with the Standing Committee on Hydrography at the Ministry Of Transport, Botanical House. A newly published navigational chart of Praslin Harbour & the royalty due for sale of charts were also handed over.
3. During their visit, the delegates from National Hydrographic Office of India also called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Seychelles H.E. Mr Sylvestre Radegonde and the Chief of Seychelles Defence Forces Brig Michael Rosette.
4. India and Seychelles share cordial bilateral relations, including in the field of Hydrography. This visit reflects commitment towards furthering collaboration in this domain.***
