Formally unveiled the plaque and handed over the Hoareau Road Surfacing Project in Grand Anse, Praslin on 14 February 2020

 

High Commissioner of India, H.E. General Dalbir Singh Suhag formally unveiled the plaque and handed over the Hoareau Road Surfacing Project in Grand Anse, Praslin on 14 February 2020, under the 33 High Impact Community Development Projects being undertaken in Seychelles. The project costing SCR 469,325 is funded under India’s grant assistance and is being implemented by Seychelles based 'W Building Constructor', thereby directly contributing to more employment opportunities for Seychellois. In fact this was the third project inaugurated by the High Commissioner on 14 February and the second one in Praslin alone!

Delivering his Speech, High Commissioner noted that, the Hoaraeau Road Construction Project will not only improve the safety and accessibility but also be a lifeline for 11 families in this locality, providing them motorable road for the daily transportation especially in case of any emergencies.

Dignitaries and guest present at the event included the Member of Nation Assembly (MNA) for Grand Anse, Praslin, Hon. Wavel Woodcock and the Principal Secretary of Local Government Mrs. Marie Celine Vidot and the representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Local Government, Grand Anse district administration and the local residents. The dignitaries took a stroll across the surfaced road post the event.
