Constitution Day of India

High Commission of India celebrated Constitution Day that falls on 26^th November, 2022 at Chancery premises. All members of the Mission did a reading of Preamble.

This was followed by an event that saw attendance of several prominent Persons of Indian Origin. The event began with a short address by High Commissioner.

The Mission had invited former Chief Justice of Seychelles Hon. Mr. D. Karunakaran and prominent Seychellois attorney Mr. S. Rajasundaram as guest speakers. Justice Karunakaran spoke about the constitutional vision of India and Mr Rajasundaram shared his thoughts on importance of constitutional literacy in a citizen’s life.

High Commissioner Kartik Pande in his address spoke about the journey of India’s Constituent Assembly from its inception to the adoption of constitution.
