 High Commissioner of India to Seychelles General Dalbir Singh Suhag (Retd.) presented his credentials as High Commissioner of India to Seychelles to H.E. President Danny Faure, Republic of Seychelles in a ceremony held at the State House Seychelles on Tuesday June 25, 2019 in morning at 8.30 AM.

 The High Commissioner then had a brief interaction with the President where he talked about the strength of friendship that exists between India and Seychelles and mentioned that his appointment as High Commissioner was a testimony of the importance that India attaches to the relationship with Republic of Seychelles. He then proceeded to brief the president about the various political, developmental, cultural and defence cooperation projects being conducted by India in Seychelles and reaffirmed his commitment towards them.

 The President also spoke about the strength of the bilateral ties and mentioned that India has always been a true friend of Seychelles. He invited High Commissioner to visit different islands in Seychelles.

 High Commissioner in turn thanked the President and his government for all the support provided. He especially thanked him for supporting the various events being organised to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi.

High Commissioner presented the President with a coffee table book on the Rashtrapati Bhawan in India and a small memento. Secretary of State for Department of Foreign Affairs and Blue Economy, Republic of Seychelles Ambassador Barry Faure was also present during the ceremony.
